During a train journey, I sketched out the shape I wanted my laptop to be. I found that the shape should fit into the hand and also free stand on a desk or table. The shape formed itself with the tear drop cross section, the bottom part will fit into the hands and provide a stable base. The thin part at the top can be perched on to a pile of books, allowing it to stand. This will save on desk space, and the use can have e.g. a research book, in full view whilst typing.
The ports are located out of the way, to this will avoid any uncomfortable positions if all ports are being used. They will not interfere with the hands whilst in use.
